Probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) is an effective tool for nuclear safety evaluation. Probabilistic consequence assessment (PCA) models developed for offsite consequence assessment describe the dispersion of released radioactive materials and predict the resulting interaction with, and influence on, the environment and man. This report describes a study to compare the predictions of PCA codes and presents the results of the comparison exercise. The PCA codes involved are described and the data presented to participants, the types of calculation performed and the consequences evaluated are summarised.
