Abstract

This report describes the design modifications to a Porsche research vehicle for the ROSES pilot tests. A driver information strategy is being developed for the existing tyre-road friction monitoring function and for preview information from an intelligent infrastructure. The design of a graphic display, a haptic driver feedback, an interface to a beacon communication system and a concept to monitor wind direction/speed are described. Visibility range monitoring is also discussed. The road and weather condition data to be exchanged between the vehicle and the ROSES central monitoring system is defined. An implementation plan is given, as well as appendices describing the communication system and the Porsche in-vehicle system.
