Four validation modules were implemented using the MS-DOS environment. In addition to the original workplan, the GDFView module, which provides a means of checking files, was developed. By looking inside the ASCII file with this tool, the user identifies most of the errors that may affect the syntax. The GDFTest1 module performs the morphological tests on physical and logical records and fields inside the file. The GDFTest2 module loads the file's contents into databases and performs integrity tests on the data the file contains. The GDFTest3 module checks semantic legitmacy and coherence of data. The GDFTest4 module tests the plausibility of data, as there are situations that cannot be marked as erroneous with 100 % reliability. The test module issues warning messages listed in error report files. It requires a CAD platform in addition to the standard MS-DOS environment.
