V2056: CORD : Strategic assessment of ATT implementation : Report No. AC02 - Part 5Funded under: FP3-DRIVE 2
This document is an outcome of the DATEX task force whose main objective is to develop a data dictionary for traffic/travel operators, including a unified structure, a common dictionary, ALERT-STRADA cross-referencing and other integration features to be used in data interchange between national and international fixed nodes, and in achieving compatibility between ATT projects. In DRIVE I, RDS-ALERT compiled a standard European list of traffic messages for information dissemination to drivers (ALERT-C), while STRADA developed a data dictionary for traffic operators, based to an extent on the ALERT-C message list. No joint dictionary was produced and no direct coordination was initiated between STRADA and ALERT. This draft presents the outcome of the development of such an integrated data dictionary. Provision should be made for on-going expansion of the dictionary as a result of continuing work within DRIVE II projects, in cooperation with the appropriate international bodies.
