Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

A preliminary safety analysis (PSA) has been performed on ten DRIVE II projects. This document describes how the projects were chosen and how the PSAs were carried out. It reports successful applications of the PASSPORT methodology for PSA based on the PASSPORT DIAGRAM. Safety-related aspects of the target projects were discovered, usually with a distracting controllability category should they fail. Experience in performing the PSAs has also permitted a more objective interpretation of controllability categories to be developed.
