Abstract

Since 1988 the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions has been working to establish a harmonised approach to the monitoring of working conditions relating to health and safety. At their second conference, in 1992, a number of European networks and working groups reported on their activities in areas such as surveys, risk assessment, mortality, exposure, women at work, absenteeism and monitoring stress at work. The Foundation's European Health and Safety Database was also discussed and demonstrated.
