The aims of the 1993 BCR workshop on environmental analysis were to report on the status of current BCR projects in this area, to disseminate information on activities to date and to discuss future requirements and potential trends in the subject. The subjects covered include the speciation of toxic metals (chromium, tin, selenium, lead, aluminium and sulphur) and organometallics, extraction of metals from river sediments and determination of the structures of organochlorines.
