This report is concerned with the assessment of the occurrence and biological significance to humans of mycotoxins. These are naturally occurring toxic, chemical compounds produced by fungi. Extensive analysis of current literature has aided in the compilation of this publication. It covers their occurrence and toxicity, ecological aspects, detection and detoxification, and the health and well-being of man.
