Abstract

The protection of intellectual property rights on electronically stored and transmitted information is critical for the exploitation of RTD results and the success of the information market and the global information society. A four-part study dealing with copyright problems on electronic delivery services and multimedia products has been prepared by independent experts of the Legal Advisory Board. This first part provides a comparative analysis of the exemptions and limitations within existing copyright laws of EU and EFTA states and the Berne Convention.
