First edge physics results from TCV
The TCV tokamak is unique in terms of its flexibility for the creation and control of novel plasma shapes and for its continuous, all welded rectangular vacuum vessel which provides space for highly elongated discharges. The first results are presented for the SOL power fluxes during limited discharges and for the profiles of edge density and temperature at the target tiles for a variety of diverted equilibria under boronised wall conditions.
