Abstract

The dynamics of the feedback control of plasma response have been determined by injecting square wave perturbations into the control loop. For modelling the movement in TCV, nine eigenmodes are required due to the vacuum vessel geometry. Unstable open-loop growth rates over 800/s have been stabilised using a simple z(*)Ip observer and its PID controller.
