This paper presents the results of a study of the temperature dependence of spectral variation of the optical constraints of some potential window and window coating materials for high power and plasma diagnostic applications. The materials studied were PTFE, Petrosil and Suprasil (low water content fused silicas), Vespel-K and Vespel-X (polyimide resins) and z-cut quartz. Measurements were made in spectral regions between 4 and 18/cm, using dispersive Fourier transform spectroscopy with specimen temperatures between 20 and 1000 C.
