Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The medical information notices on diagnosis of occupational diseases provide information pertaining to the causal relationships between disease and exposures in the workplace. They emphasise the health risks of carrying out invasive diagnostic procedures, such as liver biopsy or bronchial provocation tests, for the sole purpose of occupational disease recognition. The notices are based on the published evidence obtained as a result of scientific investigations which have taken place over the last 30 years.
