This series of slides presents an overview of the first Phebus FP test. It details the test objectives and conditions. Results are reported from the point of view of interpretation: bundle, circuit, containment thermal hydraulics and containment chemistry. Preliminary conclusions include many unexpected results, such as: (i) early and large fuel dissolution by Zr-rich mixtures in oxidising conditions; (ii) advanced degradation typical of late phase behaviour; (iii) surprisingly low FP retention in hot steam generator: (iv) unexplained large depositions of aerosol on containment wall; (v) early significant concentration in gaseous I in containment, not released by sump. These findings may result in extensive revisions of current understanding and modelling of severe accident phenomena and related source term for LWR.
