  • The impact of EC programmes on R&D decision making : Survey of a sample of industrial participants : Volume 1 - Preliminary findings : Volume 2 - Methodology and profiles of projects and companies

This study examines in two volumes how R&D decisions depend on company profile, and how EU multinational requirements change the decision process. It was part of an evaluation exercise assessing the impact of the Framework Programme on the R&D strategy, organisation, skills, technological management and market opportunities of companies. Volume 1 contains an analysis of the results, on such topics as patterns of R&D decisions processes, differences between EU and in-house projects, most influenced sectors and company types, and the effect of project type (development stage versus upstream research activities). Volume 2 addresses the methodology employed in the study and the profiles of the projects and companies surveyed.
