The analysis of tritium inventory in Li(2)O has been carried out for SEAFP helium cooled ceramic blanket, using the diffusion and desorption tritium release model. In the considered range of the temperatures of the breeder the desorption mechanism is dominant so that desorption is the rate controlling step. A computer code supports the model for the tritium inventory in the solid Li(2)O breeder, at the steady state, for several operating conditions. At reference temperature conditions for breeder mean grain radius from 1 to 5 micron, tritium inventory ranging from 0.5 to 2.8 g is obtained. For helium purge gas velocity from 0.1 to 0.4 m/s purge gas pressure, losses from 0.22 to 0.9 MPa are obtained; if the pebble diameter is increased to 1 mm the pressure losses are reduced. This breeder configuration seems to respect both tritium self-sufficiency and reactor safety.
