This study investigates the safety culture within an airline, and in particular, pilots' behaviour and interrelation with each other and with others in their operational frame. The effects of the pilot's background and operational subgroup are discussed. Management philosophy in relation to motivation, information flow and safety is outlined. A number of recommendations are made for Crew Resource Management training.
