The TAME Laboratory of the Joint Research Centre is used for research and training in the field of volume measurement of large amounts of liquids. It is now in operation with two annular tanks representing two key measurement points of a reprocessing plant: (i) the input accountancy tank measuring point, after dissolution; (ii) the output product tank measuring point (of the type used for the plutonium products). One of the activities performed during the past six months has been the characterisation of the tanks, and of the performances of the equipment and the instrumentation. The report describes the results of such characterisation.
