Modelling of the in-plane behaviour of masonry infilled frames
This paper presents computations performed in order to analyse the behaviour of frame structures infilled by hollowed masonry panels. After a brief presentation of the fixed-crack model used for the modelling of the masonry material, the paper focuses on the study of the eventual differences of behaviour between the masonry infill panel in an isolated frame and those situated in a complete structure such as a building. Computations with monotonic loading concerning the set of isolated infill frames tested at LNEC (Lisbon) and the 4-storey structure of Ispra are presented.
