FISPACT is an inventory code that has been developed for neutron induced activation calculations for materials in fusion devices. It is a powerful code that can answer the basic questions about the numbers of atoms and the activity in a material following neutron irradiation, and can also give details of the pathways by which nuclides are formed. It can treat trace amounts of actinides which are able to fission, and includes the effects of sequential charged particle reactions. This manual describes version 4.0 which represents developments of the code since 1986. It includes full details of input/output streams and files, and a large number of appendices, including data libraries and a Windows interface.
