Six papers are presented on the use of explosive techniques in the dismantling of nuclear installations. The first deals with German projects, including operations on the KKN Niederaichbach biological shield, and the second with the LIDO biological shield. French projects include the cutting of primary circuit pipes of the G2/G3 gas-graphite reactors, while the Italian paper discusses the use of linear-shaped charges for steel cutting. The last two papers report on fragmentation techniques for reinforced and contaminated concretes, and on high integrity charges for precision cutting. Discussions, comments and recommendations of the meeting are also presented.
