This contribution describes a photograph of one of the largest PV facades (at least in terms of surface area) currently in operation. The modules cover a total of 544 m2 on the south face of a building housing the ELSA experiment at JRC Ispra. The PV modules were made of optisol a-Si substrates and incorporated in a double glass structure. As a possible cladding material, these PV modules are aesthetically very pleasing as well as productive.
