Three-dimensional simulation of a subway station segment comparing the experimental results using ABAQUS
The paper illustrates the three-dimensional static study, at the different stages of construction, of a subway station realised with the blind-hole technique. The tunnel has been excavated in a prevalently silt soil with a multi-stage procedure. The paper describes in detail the construction technique and the characteristics of the model made for the simulation. It explains the techniques used for the simulation of the excavation stages and for the construction of the supports. Finally the displacements calculated in particular nodes of the model are compared to the ones measured during the realisation.
