The boundary of a fusion plasma : Some problems in rarefied gas/plasma dynamicsFunded under: EAEC-FUSION 12C
Many transport processes in the plasma boundary of a fusion device involve collisional or rarefied behaviour. Examples include: (i) heat transfer from a plasma to a Debye sheath; (ii) thermal/viscous boundary layers on the scale of a Coulomb mean free path; (iii) momentum and energy transfer from a plasma to a gas.
