Lyophilisation of thylakoids from beans for the easy handling of a bioassay
The thylakoid-bioassay is used to determine the effect of herbicides in water. Generally thylakoids are isolated from leaves. In order to reduce this time-consuming process, the thylakoids are lyophilised. This paper describes the process of lyophilisation. The aim of the experiment is to standardise lyophilised thylakoids with long-term stability and photosynthetic activity for a bioassay.
