Abstract

At IRMM, the reactions 237Np(n,f) and 252Cf(sf) have been studied. For 237Np(n,f), the fission fragment mass, total kinetic energy and angular distributions were measured as a function of the incident neutron energy from 0.3 MeV to 5.5 MeV. For 252Cf(sf), a correlation measurement of the above mentioned fission fragment parameters with prompt gamma-ray emission was conducted. In addition, for both nuclei, theoretical model calculations were developed.
