This review gives an overview of the fission activities in Europe during recent years and ongoing projects. Only a few selected topics have been presented. Very important experimental studies are those which are comprehensive such as for Pu(sf)-isotopes and those which simultaneously cover the complete correlations such as the 252 Cf(sf) - experiments. High resolution investigations at the borderline of the fission fragment distribution, such as cold fission close to the Q-value, are important to clarify the situation of odd-even effects. Investigations at energies where the fission cross-section exhibits structures, such as resonances or thresholds, are also studied.
