Abstract

This paper assesses some of the ways in which digital space and aircraft imagery can be used for landslide mapping. Spectral and textural features of landslides are enhanced digitally. Textural discrimination is improved by linear contrast stretching and addback Laplacian filter for edge enhancement. Daedalus airborne thematic mapper imagery has been used for detailed investigations of Spanish test sites and to demonstrate the improvements of scale for regional landslide mapping.
