EVEGAS : European validation exercise of GAS migration models through geological media (Phase 1)Funded under: FP2-RADWASTOM 4C
The EVEGAS project, set up by the European Commission, aims at the verification and validation of numerical codes for modelling gas flow phenomena in low permeable porous media. Code analyses have shown that all software involved in the project can simulate two phase flow problems with some specific ways. The project is organised in three major steps: (i) a simple problem with analytical solutions; (ii) a few problems based on laboratory experiments; (iii) a 3-D repository scenario. In this report, the first step, based on Buckley Leverett problem is presented. It appears that all codes, except PORFLOW, give satisfactory results.
