Abstract

This study is a comparison of contributions to the Phebus-FP project in order to identify the phenomena which dominate fission product transport. Fission product and aerosol deposition in the reactor coolant system (RCS) is part of the important information which can be deduced from sequence calculations with regard to the Phebus facility. The locations where greatest retention takes place for each sequence will bring to light the major components for which scaling has to be done with great care. Finally, determination of the main deposition mechanisms provides information about the physical phenomena which prevail as well as useful guidelines for dimensioning.
