Workshop on application of system identification in energy savings in buildings
The Energy Systems Analysis Support (ESAS) group of the Institute for Systems Engineering and Informatics organised a workshop which took place at the JRC Ispra, on October 25-27, 1993. The theory of system identification is presented, as well as an introduction on neural network application to building energy studies. A number of papers discuss the application of system identification techniques and in particular the problem areas such as accuracy of the estimated parameters, analysis of data from occupied houses, and design of experiment. Criteria for evaluation of results and different sources of error are also discussed.
