Abstract

A three-dimensional model for carbon dioxide in a complex environment has been used to simulate CO(2) dispersion and flow. The simulation is done in two steps. With the help of a 3-D meteorological mesoscale model, the lower tropospheric wind field over a complex terrain is evaluated. Computer atmospheric parameters are then used by a Lagrangian model to simulate the dispersion of carbon dioxide emitted from a crate fissure.
