A neutron camera for ITER : Conceptual designFunded under: EAEC-FUSION 12C
This paper presents the outline design of an ITER neutron camera, to provide control and plasma diagnostic information based on the deduced neutron emission profile. The design presented concerns a horizontally, radially viewing camera. There are two existing neutron profile monitoring systems which have been used with D-T plasmas at JET and TFTR. The number and locations of the profile monitor lines-of-sight are specified, the design philosophy for the profile monitor is determined, and proposals are made for the detector packages.
