Abstract

An investigation has been carried out on the dependency of the absolute spectral responsivity and the calculated mismatch factor on photovoltaic (PV) cells illuminated at higher monochromatic irradiance levels ad temperatures. Results are an increase in external quantum efficiency on both cell types (polycrystalline and monocrystalline) and especially for the polycrystalline cell. The mismatch factor decreased by 0.2% (at 3 m) from the standard distance 7 m. For the monocrystalline cell the change in mismatch factor was negligible (0.05%). The temperature dependency showed an increase of the responsivity values at longer wavelengths. For both cells the calculated mismatch factor decreased by approximately 0.3% at a temperature of 55 C.
