An amorphus silicon photovoltaic (PV) facade of 544 m{2} active area has been in operation for one year, with investigation of the reliability of components, the short and long term electrical performance of the system, the impact of meteorological conditions and observation of module degradation and annealing intervals.

One result of this evaluation is the observation of a positive temperature coefficient of the performance of amorphous silicon PV modules which can be explained by the equilibrium state between light-induced effects and annealing. The array proved to operate extremely reliably with less than 5 shutdowns of short duration. .
