EUROPE 2005 : Views from future studies in EuropeFunded under: FP2-FAST 3
This document investigates the ability of European countries to withstand transformation by absorbing change. It contains selected studies from individual organisations in member states as well as Iceland and Switzerland. A research group, the European Future Forum (EFF), was established as a network of European prospectivists and produced this synthesis of prospective studies concerning the year 2000 and the 21st century. The EFF addressed the following questions: (i) what were the purpose and aims of the engagement of future activities across Europe? (ii) what were the most important ideas conveyed by the prospective studies analysed? (iii) what was the incidence of European matters and what concept of Europe emerged from them?
