Marginalization, specialisation and co-development : East-West technology transfer in the Danubian EuropeFunded under: FP2-FAST 3
The objective of this dossier is to present future configurations of the European system of research and technological development in the context of a wider Europe, including Eastern and Central Europe. The report is organised around two central fields, a policy scenario study and four complementary studies. It explores the background, patterns and political connotations of technology transfer from East to West after the Second World War up to the eighties, from both economic and political perspectives. Particular attention is given to the global political changes and their economic, political and social impacts on the situation in the Danubian region caused by globalisation and marginalisation.
