Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

This report summarises the results from a survey of the innovation infrastructure of twelve countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The purpose of the survey was to provide an understanding of the conditions in each country for technology transfer in order to inform the Commission and to point to areas where future help from the European Union might be beneficial. This report synthesises the data under two main themes: (i) a characterisation of the conditions for technology transfer in each country; (ii) an outline of six assistance initiatives with recommendations as to which are most suitable for each country. The report also discusses the methods used to perform the study and describes its overall scope and the initiatives for assisting technology transfer which could be supported by the European Commission.
