Abstract

The Nuclear Fission Safety programme has five main activity areas: exploring innovative approaches, reactor safety, radioactive waste management and disposal and decommissioning, radiological impact on man and environment, and mastering events of the past. The overall objectives of the programme are to stimulate close collaboration amongst all parties involved in nuclear energy. The information package is for those wishing to submit a proposal for a project under this programme. It describes the selection criteria for projects and participants and gives guidelines on the drawing up of proposals. Also contained in the work package is a work programme evolved from the experience and results gained in the earlier ongoing RTD programme.
