The objective of the Common Transport Policy is to create efficient and cost-effective transport networks for goods and passengers under the best possible environmental, social and energy consumption conditions. Issues addressed in this publication include safety, interoperability, infrastructure design and management, and understanding of mobility and traffic flows. The Transport programme covers seven technical areas: strategic research, rail transport, integrated transport chains, air transport, urban transport, water-borne transport and road transport. This information package is intended for those wishing to submit a proposal for a project under this programme.
