Abstract

The aim of the Madrid conference was to consider the barriers to the uptake of each renewable energy source, together with the roles of the main actions in overcoming those barriers. The plan covered political actions, legislative and administrative actions, financial and fiscal actions, and information, education and training actions. The conference analysed the present situation and perspectives of renewable energy sources within the European Union. This report summarises the issues raised in the course of the meetings of the integration working group.
