Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Initiative (TERI) arose from needs to pursue further EU endeavours to investigate changes in atmospheric composition, climate and land-use. The overall objective of TERI is to improve the ability to predict the consequences of these interactive effects. Three areas of primary concern are: (i) carbon, nutrients and water pools and related trace gas emissions; (ii) biodiversity; (iii) future landscape patterns. This report is the science plan of TERI. It sets out the research scheme of the initiative and the studies that will be undertaken.
