To achieve improved second-language learning and communication the Concerted Action Group recommends that concepts of life/work-embedded language learning, open integration of learning modes and user oriented technology should be built into future strategic language learning developments. The DELTA Concerted Action Group has concerned itself with placing in its proper perspective the role of technology in language learning and tutoring. This report also discusses the potential of generic technologies, and presents action themes from the development of language learning technologies.
