COPERNICUS was set up to enhance collaborative research and development between the countries of Eastern and Central Europe. Two types of actions have been implemented: joint research projects and concerted actions/networks. This publication covers the following actions. (i) information technology; (ii) communication technologies, telematics and language engineering; (iii) manufacturing production, processing and materials; (iv) measurement and testing; (v) agro- and food industries; (vi) biotechnology.
