Abstract

Externally applied rotating magnetic field is used for feedback control of helical magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) perturbations in JET plasma. Non linear dynamic of the complete control system consiting of coupled m=2,n=1 and m=3,n=1 tearing modes in viscous rotated plasma, magnetic detection system, saddle coils and power amplifiers directed by feedback digital controller is simulated in various control conditions in order to reveal ranges of stable operation of the system and optimal parameters of the control technique.
