Spectral and Angular Dependence of Photodiode Response to Soft X-Rays
Planar arrays of photodiode detectors for soft X-ray tomography on magnetic fusion devices are economic and allow very compact camera designs. Unlike X-ray cameras based on single element detectors placed on a semicircle around the pinhole, the angle of incidence is different for each diode of such an array. Since uniformity of response is crucial for tomography we have investigated the effect and ways to compensate for it.
