This report presents an atlas which is being compiled of the level of caesium-137 deposition across the whole of Europe from the Chernobyl accident. Comparisons are made with caesium-137 deposition from nuclear weapons' testing and with levels of naturally occuring radionuclides. Maps of varying scale have been prepared with increasing detail corresponding with the increasing level of contamination.
