Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

The treaty on European Union foresees the strengthening of the Community technology base through Community supported research programmes. The common good must always be at the centre of publicly funded intervention. Thus the Community contract respects both the autonomy of industry and its legitimate interests. A contractor will never be forced to disclose information which belongs to him, when such a disclosure could risk his competitivity against third parties who he himself would not have chosen as a partner. This leaflet is not a legally binding document. It is not exhaustive but rather attempts to cover the area in a brief and simplified manner.
