Abstract

The aim of the project presented here is to formalize and develop a multimedia environment allowing the analysis of video sequences by means of a methodology for retrospective analyses of incidents involving human factors. The project is defined along two axes, namely: the definition of the multimedia environment; the development and the integration in this environment of a software tool implementing the methodology. The innovative aspect of the project consists in the devising of a working station that will exploit the potentialities of the multimedia in the analyses of the operators activity. Starting from a set of video recordings, it will be possible to make a selection of sequences, to edit and to analyse them, to manage a database containing the selected sequences as well as the results of the analyses carried out on them.
