Solar energy reduces the dependence on conventional energy sources and does not produce emissions into the ambient. However, due to the higher installation cost compared to conventional installations, neither the more economic running costs nor the environmental advantages of solar power can be appreciated by the end users. The Charter of the Guaranteed Solar Results is a contract between the end user and a Project Office who ensures that the energy produced by the solar installation fulfils the promise that has been signed in the contract. In lack of supply, the Project Office pays a compensation to the Client end user.
